Dr. Scaro playing professional soccer in Skovde, Sweden

Dr. Emma Scaro is a native of Wisconsin and is developing her professional chiropractic career in an area she knows well. Emma played Division 1 soccer and was a 3-year captain at Eastern Illinois University. After earning her undergraduate degree, she played professional soccer in Northern Ireland and Sweden. As an athlete, she experienced multiple major injuries and as a result, developed a passion for injury reduction. Emma has always been interested in whole-body health. She is particularly interested in how nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle can influence performance and injury reduction. This interest led her to pursue a master’s degree in Sports Medicine and a doctorate in Chiropractic. Before completing her doctorate, she partnered with Dr. Bill Moreau, former Chief Medical Officer for the United States Olympic Committee, during a 9-month internship to improve her clinical and diagnostic skills.

Emma uses a variety of treatments to help patients become pain-free and get back to their active lifestyles. She enjoys working with patients of all ages and backgrounds but has a particular interest in addressing movement patterns and injury reduction for athletes.

Emma graduated with a BS in Biochemistry from Eastern Illinois University in 2017 and obtained a BS in Human Biology, MS in Sports Medicine, and DC from the University of Western States in 2021. She is certified in CPR, Graston M1, and SafeSport.

Emma enjoys any type of outdoor activity including horseback riding, cycling, trail running, and rock climbing.
