
Soccer Specific Care
The best injury prevention comes from preparing for the season. We are happy to present options for players to learn more about the game and how to compete with decreased risk of injury.
This program is great for college players home for the summer or 2-3 months before your spring or fall season.
Soccer Injury Prevention Baseline Testing:
This 45 minute visit includes a full evaluation of movement patterns specific to soccer players. This program starts by performing functional testing. The tests Dr. Scaro uses are supported by research for the best results in injury prevention for soccer players. After getting your baseline testing – asymmetries in mobility, muscle strength, and movement patterns will be exposed. The program is designed to improve those asymmetries.
Between your baseline testing, you will have three to four 20-minute performance sessions with Dr. Scaro. In these visits, you will receive treatment for your mobility restrictions, muscle tension asymmetries, and faulty movement patterns. These sessions are designed to improve your mobility, improve strength, and work on any deficits identified during your baseline testing. She will send you home with exercises and lifestyle modifications to best improve your injury-reduction technique and performance.
The baseline testing will be repeated 1-2x more throughout your care ensuring improvement has been made. Typically the baseline testing will be repeated 1x/month for 3 months.

15-minute mini-soccer session:
To step your game up even more you have the option to include 15-minute mini-soccer sessions on our turf area. This visit is designed for after your performance sessions.
These mini sessions will add additional soccer skills training to your at-home routine. This mini-session is designed to discuss your soccer goals and go over specific drills, skills, and tactics to reach those goals. This session can be repeated weekly, biweekly, or monthly. Between each visit, the player will have specific skills to work on and improve. During their follow-up visit, their training regime will be progressed.
